Anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows just how expensive invitations can be. Between letterpress printing and thick, textured card stock, invitation suites can run upwards of $10 per set (or more!). If you invite 100 people to your wedding, that means you’re spending $1,000 on pieces of paper that the majority of guests will send straight into the trash can along with the expensive stamps, ribbons, etc. that came with said pricey paper. No thank you!
Enter Wedding Chicks, one of my favorite resources for brides on a budget. Wedding Chicks makes it possible for couples to have gorgeous invitation suites that DON’T cost an arm and a leg! Simply download one of their many gorgeous templates, print (either yourself, or send to a printer like Staples or Vistaprint), buy envelopes, and you’re done! It doesn’t get much easier than that. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite free Wedding Chicks invitation suites:

Hello hello belles and beaus! Happy Saturday. I don’t know if it’s been the same for y’all, but my fall is turning out to be quite busy! Lots of good things, of course…friends visiting, college football, the upcoming state fair…but I do feel like the blog has taken a bit of a back seat lately. We have some fun posts planned for the near future, though, so be on the lookout!
Per usual, I have found several fun wedding-related things on the Interwebs lately that I must share. Without further ado, here’s what I’m loving:
1. This video of a groom surprising his bride with a choreographed dance to our favorite One Direction song.

Hello belles and beaus! This is a special post in honor of Cristina over at Grace Like Rain, who nominated me for the Liebster Award. Y’all may remember Cristina…her stunning bridal portraits were recently featured on the blog! Apparently, the Liebster Award began in the blogosphere sometime around 2010 and is a way for bloggers to share other’s blogs so that ultimately, everyone is discovering new blogs and sharing the love. Continuing on with our Signature Cocktail series, I have a truly Southern drink for you today: Mason-Dixons. Here in the Carolinas, we take true pride in living below the Mason-Dixon line…am I right y’all? Everything good in life comes from below this proverbial line….pecan pie, big hair, blessed hearts, sweet tea… Which brings us back to this lovely drink, which would be especially refreshing on a hot day:

Ladies…how many of you have dreamed about your wedding dress for years, but have never given a thought to what you’ll put on for your rehearsal dinner? Well, you’re in good company…it didn’t occur to me to consider my rehearsal dinner dress until this summer, just a month or so before my wedding! Many brides these days are opting to wear white or ivory for their rehearsal dinner, just in case anyone should forget who the bride is (ha!). I’ve gathered some lovely LWD (little white dress) inspiration for those of you wanting to get on board with this trend (or for brides wanting to go short on their big day!). Behold:
1. Nicolette by Ruche, $68.99

Y’all, do you know about Loverly? It’s sort of like Pinterest, except exclusively for weddings. I sometimes get in a groove where I really like it, then other times not so much. They have lots of beautiful things to add to your various “bundles”, but not quite as much selection as there is on Pinterest (and you can’t upload your own photos as far as I know). My other complaint about it at first was that it mostly just featured upscale, very expensive-looking weddings, but lately it seems like they’ve started to diversify more. But, what I’ve really started to ADORE lately about Loverly are their articles. They have been killing it!! If you read the blog often, you have probably already noticed some Loverly articles linked in my Internet roundup posts. Here is a little sampling of my favorite Loverly posts lately:

Hello belles and beaus! It has been a few days (okay, maybe a week or two) since my last post….last-minute wedding planning is in full swing here. Today I am delivering some inspiration featuring one of the latest trends in wedding gowns: spaghetti straps! I love this delicate detail…so feminine. It shows off the same amount of skin as a strapless dress, but gives a greater sense of security. There’s something almost ballerina-esque about it. Here are some of my favorite spaghetti strap gowns at the moment:
